ALICIA SUÁREZ

Puerto Rican colorist, designer, and entrepreneur based in Tampa Bay since 2006. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she studied branding, design, marketing, and printmaking at Syracuse University’s College of Visual & Performing Arts, graduating at the top of her class with a Minor in Marketing from the Whitman School of Management. A strong graphic influence intertwines in her fine art, just as a keen artistic sensibility infuses her design work.

Dynamic, fast, passionate—that is Alicia. Mother, businesswoman, artist. She throws herself at life with all of her passion, leaving a visual trail that is both striking and unforgettable.

Fine Artist.
Alicia’s goal as an artist has always been to create an emotional impact on the beholder—a burst of joy that uplifts the spirit, if only for an instant. Her purpose is to engage you in play, her spirit to yours—simple, direct, and electric. Whether painting or printmaking, her fascination lies in the interplay of color, texture, and proportion. Her work is a bold statement, a fearless exploration of contrasts and unexpected textures that captivate the eye and ignite the imagination.

Considered controversial for her non-traditional approach, her art has been exhibited throughout the USA and Puerto Rico. Collectors are inevitably drawn to her work, unable to resist its raw energy and fearless expression.

Designer.
Alicia’s design career encompasses graphics and identity, strategy and positioning, products and packaging, exhibitions, websites and digital experiences, advertising and communications, public relations, and typefaces. She has worked with prestigious clients such as Citibank, Pepsi, the Olympic Committee of Puerto Rico, Banco Popular, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Natural Slim. A member of AIGA and a recipient of the Small Business Administration Design Competition award and multiple grants, she is as much a force in the design world as she is in fine art.

She owns the studio, creates the work, and serves as the primary client contact—whether in art, design, or entrepreneurship.

Beyond her artistic career, Alicia is a thriving entrepreneur, running a financial services business.

Daughter of Paco Suárez, founder of the legendary Suárez Toy House, and sister of world-renowned author Frank Suárez, creativity runs in her veins.
